365 Days, 12 months, and 48 injections later

“A year ago today I started my journey with semaglutide. Here I am almost 65 lbs less than a year ago and a completely different person physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am happier, I have a better relationship with food and I can enjoy life without stressing about if I missed a day at the gym this week or if I went over my macros or ate a cookie! The sense of freedom and peace that this medication has provided me is literally unmatched! I was scared to start, I was scared of the what ifs but here I am a year later and I can tell you that the reward far outweighs the minimal risks.

I am healthier and I am finally living a life that is not defined by my weight, my macros, my workouts, or my meal prep. I get to eat and not stress or worry constantly. For anyone who has questioned if this is an option for you, I can say with confidence don’t believe everything you see on tv or the internet. I did my research and took the jump and honestly can’t imagine my life today if I had not. Weight loss is a crazy journey and semaglutide is not a miracle medication. Work and progress still need to be made to see success but as I reflect on the last year of this journey I am so happy I took the step forward and am here happier, healthier, and a better me than I could have imagined a year ago!”
