The Lip Blushing Process

1. Consultation: Show us photos and lipsticks you love to help us get a sense of your desired color. We’ll guide you in selecting a color closest to what you show us. Keep in mind that the pigment will fade by approximately 50% during the healing process, so we suggest choosing a color a bit brighter than what you’re hoping for. Together, we will choose the perfect shade and design for your lips.
2. Design Approval and Numbing: After you approve the shape and design, our tattoo artist will apply a numbing cream to ensure a comfortable experience.
3. Outline: The procedure begins with a delicate outline that defines the shape of your lips. The outline is initially visible for the first few days before it blends seamlessly with your lips.
4. Layered Pigment Application: We’ll go over your lips with 3-4 layers of pigment, ensuring a stunning and long-lasting result.

What to Expect During the Procedure

• The procedure takes approximately 60-90 minutes complete. Feel free to bring headphones to listen to music while our expert technician enhances your lips.
• With the numbing cream applied, you should not feel much pain.
• Typically, there is minimal bleeding during the procedure – if any occurs, it will be limited to small specks of pinpoint bleeding.

What to Expect After the Procedure

• Day 1: Expect your lips to be swollen and a bit sore.
• Days 2-3: The swelling will have subsided, but your lips may appear dark and dry.
• Days 3-5: Your lips may peel and scab, and their color will become lighter.
• Days 6-28: It may appear as though the color is gone (don’t panic!).
• Day 28: The color will come back.
• Day 42: Final results! It takes about six weeks for the color to completely develop, so we encourage you to wait the full six weeks before making any decisions about your lips.

Yes! We recommend doing the lip blushing procedure first. Lip filler will change the shape of your lips so if you apply lip blush over lips that have been filled, your lip color and shape will change as the lip filler has dissolved.

However, keep in mind that if you do get fillers after blushing, it’s important to be mindful of how much volume is added as too much may distort your desired result. Who Doesn’t Qualify For Lip Blushing?
